Le présent document s'adresse aux fournisseurs d'informations et aux utilisateurs, y compris les personnes handicapées. Le présent document spécifie les symboles graphiques destinés à l'information du public. Il est applicable aux symboles installés dans tous les lieux et secteurs d'accès public. Il spécifie également les originaux des symboles qui peuvent être dessinés à l'échelle, aux fins de reproduction et d'application. Par rapport à l'ISO 7001:2007, ajout de 43 fiches représentant chacune un symbole graphique (N° de référence, référent, fonction, contenu graphique, informations complémentaires,... ) destiné à l'information du public.
