Control charts - Part 1 : general guidelines

ISO 7870-1:2014 presents key elements and philosophy of the control chart approach, and identifies a wide variety of control charts (including those related to the Shewhart control chart, those stressing process acceptance or online process adjustment, and specialized control charts). It presents an overview of the basic principles and concepts and illustrates the relationship among various control chart approaches to aid in the selection of the most appropriate standard for given circumstances. It does not specify statistical control methods using control charts. These methods will be specified in future parts of ISO 7870.

Tout processus de production, de service ou d'administration comporte une certaine quantité de variabilité due à la présence d'un grand nombre de causes. En conséquence, les résultats observés d'un processus ne sont pas constants. L'étude de cette variabilité permet de comprendre ses caractéristiques et ainsi fournir une base pour agir sur un processus. Les cartes de contrôle sont un outil fondamental de la maîtrise statistique des processus (MSP). Le présent document constitue la première partie d'une série de normes sur les cartes de contrôle. Il donne une présentation générale des principes et concepts fondamentaux et donne les rapports entre les approches afin d'aider à un choix convenant le mieux à une situation. Il ne spécifie pas les méthodes de maîtrise statistique données dans les autres parties.
