La présente norme donne des règles de sélection, d'installation et d'utilisation sans danger de pistolets manuels de projection électrostatique de flock avec une énergie limite de 0,24 mJ ou 5 mJ et leur matériel associé conformes à la norme européenne EN 50050 (norme française NF C 23-550) qui peuvent créer une atmosphère explosive lorsqu'ils projettent des flocks. La présente norme considère seulement les dangers qui sont spécifiques aux caractéristiques électrostatiques du procédé de projection électrostatique.
