Le noir de carbone, pour l'industrie du caoutchouc, est généralement granule pour réduire la poussière et améliorer sa manipulation. Les propriétés d'écrasement des granules individuels peuvent, entre autres, avoir une influence sur la dispersion du noir de carbone dans les polymères, sur le transport en vrac et sur son aptitude au convoyage.
