IEC 60404-1-1:2004+AMD1:2024 CSV establishes a classification of surface insulations for electrical steel sheet, strip and laminations according to their general composition, relative insulating ability and function. These surface insulations are either oxide layers or applied coatings. The purpose of this classification is to create a nomenclature for the various types of surface insulations and to assist users of surface insulations by providing general information about the chemical nature and use of the surface insulations. It is not the intent of this classification to specify insulation requirements in terms of specific values of surface insulation resistance. Such requirements are agreed between the purchaser and the steel producer, where applicable. The classification is used in conjunction with the various specifications for cold rolled electrical steels (see the standards in the IEC 60404-8 series in Clause 2).

IEC 62841-2-21:2017+AMD1:2024 CSV applies to hand-held drain cleaners (drain cleaners are also known as pipe cleaners) the rated voltage is not more than 250 V for single-phase a.c. or d.c. tools, and 480 V for three-phase a.c. tools. The rated input is not more than 3 700 W. The limits for the applicability of this standard for battery tools are given in K.1 and L.1. IEC TS 62073:2016(E) specifies the measurement of the hydrophobicity of the shed and housing material of composite insulators for overhead lines, substations and equipment or ceramic insulators covered or not covered by a coating. The obtained value represents the hydrophobicity at the time of the measurement. The object of this technical specification is to describe three methods that can be used to determine the hydrophobicity of insulators. The determination of the ability of water to wet the surface of insulators may be useful to evaluate the condition of the surface of insulators in service, or as part of the insulator testing in the laboratory. IEC 62047-36:2019 (E) specifies test methods for evaluating the durability of MEMS piezoelectric thin film materials under the environmental stress of temperature and humidity and under electrical stress, and test conditions for appropriate quality assessment. Specifically, this document specifies test methods and test conditions for measuring the durability of a DUT under temperature and humidity conditions and applied voltages. It further applies to evaluations of converse piezoelectric properties in piezoelectric thin films formed primarily on silicon substrates, i.e., piezoelectric thin films used as actuators. This document does not cover reliability assessments, such as methods of predicting the lifetime of a piezoelectric thin film based on a Weibull distribution.

IEC TR 62977-2-3:2017 (E), which is a Technical Report, reviews the impact of test pattern colour content and image loading on the measured display's photometric and colorimetric performance. Experimental data for several display technologies is presented to demonstrate the need for using a broader range of colours in the test patterns, and measuring the display at an image loading level appropriate for the intended application.

ISO/IEC 11801 and ISO/IEC 11801 series definitions and specifications referenced by this blank detail specification are currently covered by ISO/IEC 11801-1.This document is intended to be used in conjunction with IEC 61935-2, IEC 61156-1, IEC 61156-6, IEC 60603-7-4 and IEC 60603-7-5. The blank detail specification determines the layout and style for detail specifications describing cords with transmission characteristics up to 250 MHz for digital communications. Detail specifications, based on the blank detail specification, can be prepared by a national organization, a manufacturer, or a user.The test configuration applicable to cords is detailed in IEC 61935-2.

IEC 62715-6-2:2017(E) specifies testing methods for evaluating the environmental endurance of flexible display panels and modules for use, storage and transport under assumed usage environment. This part of IEC 62715 is applicable to flexible display panels and modules such as liquid crystal display devices (LCDs), electric paper display devices (EPDs), and organic light emitting diode display devices (OLEDs). IEC 62047-29:2017(E) specifies a relaxation test method for measuring electromechanical properties of freestanding conductive thin films for micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) under controlled strain and room temperature. Freestanding thin films of conductive materials are extensively utilized in MEMS, opto-electronics, and flexible/wearable electronics products. Freestanding thin films in the products experience external and internal stresses which could be relaxed even under room temperature during a period of operation, and this relaxation leads to time-dependent variation of electrical performances of the products. This test method is valid for isotropic, homogeneous, and linearly viscoelastic materials.

IEC 61196-9-2:2022 applies to coaxial communication cables described in IEC 61196-9. It specifies the requirements for 50-0,4 type RF flexible cables. These cables are used in routers, notebook computers, mobile phones or other electronics. The operating frequency is from 5 MHz to 6 000 MHz.
