Standard Test Method for Viscosity Determination of Asphalt at Elevated Temperatures Using a Rotational Viscometer

1.1 This test method outlines a procedure for measuring the apparent viscosity of asphalt from 38 to 260°C (100 to 500°F) using a rotational viscometer and a temperature-controlled thermal chamber for maintaining the test temperature.1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in centimetre gram second (cgs) units and inch-pound units are for information only.This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
