Lean production systems - Lean leadership - List of methods
Leadership has been identified as the critical factor for a sustainable implementation of lean production systems. Additional to the standard VDI 2871 Part 1, this standard describes methods for the leadership in the five principles "continuous improvement culture", "self-development and reflection", "coaching", "Gemba", and "participation". The presented 23 methods help to adapt leadership to the specific requirements of lean production systems. Based on a literature review and industry input, the standard describes a selection of methods and tools, which support leadership in the lean production system.
