The European Commission Mandate No. M/497, followed by Product and Service safety in the Directorate-General Health & Consumers, under the title "Standardisation mandate to CEN, CENELEC and ETSI on the safety of child-care articles; Cluster 2- risks in the sleeping environment; Mattresses for cots, cot bumpers, suspended beds for children, duvets for children, sleep bags for children", issued on 2011-10-20 and accepted by CEN BT on 2011-12-20, requested that CEN develop standards or specifications including safety requirements and test methods, warnings and instructions to adult users in order to address the possible hazard posed by these products. This document specifies requirements for the safety of children's sleep bags which are used in the children's sleeping environment (i.e. not under supervision), and designed to provide sufficient warmth so as to remove the need for additional bedding when sleeping in a cot or similar product (e. g. crib/cradle) in which a child is contained.

Ce document complète et corrige la norme existante NF EN 60529 (C 20-010).

Le présent amendement introduit, dans la norme NF EN 60529, un nouveau degré de protection IPX9 relatif à la protection contre les jets d''eau haute pression et haute température. Il ne modifie pas les degrés de protection déjà définis dans ce document. Le présent document entre dans le champ d''application de la Directive Basse Tension n° 2006/95/CE du 12/12/2006.

Le présent document couvre aussi les inserts pour cheminées en faïence (Kachelôfen) et Putzôfen (échangeur maçonné sur place), sans bouilleur à eau chaude, ayant des puissances calorifiques nominales jusqu''à 15 K

Cet amendement permet de répondre aux exigences essentielles de la Directive 89/106/EEC modifiée, Directive "Produits de la Construction".
