Connectors for electronic equipment - Product requirements - Part 2-101: Circular connectors - Detail specification for M12 connectors with screw-locking

IEC 61076-2-101:2012 describes M12 circular connectors typically used for industrial process measurement and control. These connectors consist of fixed and free connectors either rewireable or non-rewireable, with screw-locking. The connectors with glass to metal seal are fixed connectors only which consist of fixed glass to metal sealed styles with rewireable male contacts and are intermateable with corresponding free connectors according to this International Standard. Male connectors have round contacts 0,6 mm, 0,76 mm, 0,8 mm and 1,0 mm. The different codings prevent the mating of these coded male or female connectors to any other interfaces and cross-mating between the different codings. This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition published in 2008 and its corrigendum published in 2010. It constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:- The drawings of some styles have been corrected,- A new style with maximum 17 poles, with A-coding, has been added, as new applications for the industrial process measurement and control require a high number of poles in M12 circular connectors. The existing styles and dimensions which were specified in IEC 61076-2-101 Ed.2 are further applicable for the added interface dimension of the 17 poles versions,- Removal of the type designation and ordering information, former Tables 6 and 7 have been updated accordingly and- Inclusion of the technical content of IEC PAS 61076-2-108, which will be withdrawn after publication of this International Standard. The drawings have been updated and correction to the title of Figure 9 was made. Keywords: M12 connectors, Circular connector

Connectors for electronic equipment - Product requirements - Part 2-108: Circular connectors - Detail specification for glass to metal seal style M12 connectors with screw-locking intended to mate with connectors conforming to IEC 61076-2-101

IEC/PAS 61076-2-108:2009(E) describes circular connectors M12 typically used for industrial process measurement and control. These connectors consist of fixed glass to metal sealed styles with rewireable male contacts. Female connectors have round contacts of diameter 0,6 mm, 0,76 mm, 0,8 mm and 1,0 mm. This PAS complements IEC 61076-2-101 Ed.2 by adding glass to metal seal styles and the required testing.

Connectors for electronic equipment - Product requirements - Part 2-101: Circular connectors - Detail specification for M12 connectors with screw-locking

IEC 61076-2-101:2008 describes circular connectors M12 typically used for industrial process measurement and control. These connectors consist of fixed and free connectors with screw-locking. Male connectors have round contacts of diameters 0,6 mm, 0,76 mm, 0,8 mm and 1,0 mm. This new edition includes the following significant technical change with respect to the previous edition: the connector type M8 has been removed from IEC 61076-2-101 and has been published in a separate IEC Standard under reference IEC 61076-2-104. The contents of the corrigendum of March 2010 have been included in this copy.

Connectors for electrical and electronic equipment - Product requirements - Part 2-101: Circular connectors - Detail specification for M12 connectors with screw-locking

IEC 61076-2-101:2024 describes M12 screw-locking circular connectors with 2-way up to 17?way, for data transmission with frequencies up to 100 MHz and signal and power transmission at up to 250 V rated voltage and up to 4 A rated current per contact. These connectors consist of fixed and free connectors, either rewirable or non-rewirable. Male connectors have round contacts, Ø 0,6 mm, Ø 0,76 mm, Ø 0,8 mm or Ø 1,0 mm according to number of ways and coding, all contacts with the same size. The different codings prevent the mating of differently coded male and female connectors. This fourth edition cancels and replaces the third edition published in 2012. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: a) Technical specifications regarding dimensional information (Clause 5) and characteristics (Clause 6) have been updated, and new subclauses have been added. b) New style NF (free connectors) has been added. c) Fixed connectors with glass to metal seals (former styles WM, XM, YM, ZM and WF, XF, TF and ZF) are no longer covered by this document: relevant definitions and requirements have been removed. d) The P-coding has been eliminated. e) Annex B (informative) Steel conduit thread, sizes has been deleted and a new Annex B (informative) Orientation of cable outlet in relation to coding has been added. f) The dimension specification of former styles AM and BM have been moved into a new Annex C (normative).
