Le présent document, constituant une partie de l'Eurocode 1, définit géométriquement et numériquement les modèles de charges à considérer dues au trafic lors de l'établissement de projets de ponts-routes, de passerelles pour piétons et cyclistes et de ponts-rails (modèles de charges verticales et horizontales, variables et accidentelles) pour les vérifications vis-à-vis des différentes catégories d'états-limites : de service, ultimes et de fatigue. Il fournit également les règles de combinaison des actions dues au trafic avec d'autres actions variables, basées sur le format semi-probabiliste de justification de la sécurité des constructions.
