Le présent document spécifie les chiffres clés généraux et techniques, ainsi que les bases de calcul, permettant de décrire le comportement opérationnel des machines d'emballage. Il donne en annexes normatives un modèle temporel, un modèle de production et les points minimums devant faire l'objet d'un accord pour l'essai d'acceptation. Un protocole d'acceptation est fourni en annexe informative. Des explications des causes premières techniques et organisationnelles des incidents en tant que condition préalable au calcul des chiffres clés sont données à l'Annexe E (informative).
