NF ISO 9770
Crude petroleum and petroleum products. Compressibility factors for hydrocarbons in the range 638 kg/M3 to 1074 kg/M3.
Includes the contents of Manual of Petroleum Measurement Standards, Chapter 11.2.1M published August 1984 by API. The purpose is to correct hydrocarbon volumes metered under pressure to the corresponding volumes at the equilibrium pressure for the metered temperature. Contains compressibility factors related to meter temperature and density of metered material.

ISO 91:2017 refers to temperature volume correction factors, which allow users to convert volumes, measured at ambient conditions, to those at reference conditions for transactional purposes. This document also refers to compressibility factors required to correct hydrocarbon volumes measured under pressure to the corresponding volumes at the equilibrium pressure for the measured temperature.
The Requirements department helps you quickly locate within the normative text:
- mandatory clauses to satisfy,
- non-essential but useful clauses to know, such as permissions and recommendations.
The identification of these types of clauses is based on the document “ISO / IEC Directives, Part 2 - Principles and rules of structure and drafting of ISO documents ”as well as on a constantly enriched list of verbal forms.
With Requirements, quickly access the main part of the normative text!
