This document contains quality specifications, characteristic properties and bases of calculation for cylindrical helical springs when used as compression springs. This standard applies to cylindrical helical springs made out of round wire subject to the following limiting values: - Wire diameter of 0,07 mm ≤ d ≤ 16 mm; - Mean coil diameter of 0,63 mm ≤ D ≤ 200 mm; - Length of unloaded spring of LO ≤ 630 mm; - Number of active coils of n ≥ 2; - Spring index of 4 ≤ w ≤ 20.
