La méthode est applicable aux teneurs en sélénium comprises entre 0,000 4 pour cent (m/m) et 0,02 pour cent (m/m) . Il définit le principe de la méthode, les réactifs utilisés, l'appareillage, le mode opératoire, la détermination du mesurage des solutions pour essais, l'expression des résultats, la détermination de la fidélité et le contenu du rapport d'essai.
