Essential oils — Preparation of test samples

Gives general guidance for the preparation of samples of essential oils submitted to a laboratory for analysis. Does apply to essential oils which are solid or partly solid at room temperature and cannot be analysed directly. The method cannot be used for samples for determination of water.
