Le présent document décrit des lignes directrices pour la définition et l'expression des critères d'acceptation des discontinuités détectables par examen visuel sur les surfaces usinées des pièces moulées, quel que soit l'alliage. Le contrôle visuel direct ou indirect des discontinuités, au même titre que chacun des procédés de contrôle non destructif, s'intègre dans une estimation générale ou particulière de la qualité de la pièce moulée, définie contractuellement (voir NF EN 1559-1) .
