Cette norme a pour objet la description de deux méthodes de dosage du cérium dans les aciers et les fontes La première méthode traite du dosage du cérium parfluorimétrie, applicable à des teneurs comprises entre 0,0005 % et 0,02 %, dans les aciers et les fontes non alliés et alliés. La deuxième méthode traite du dosage du cérium par ampèrométrie, applicable à des teneurs inférieures ou égales à 0,20 %, dans les aciers et les fontes.
