Le présent document décrit une méthode de dosage spectrophotométrique du cuivre dans l'aluminium et les alliages d'aluminium. La méthode est applicable aux teneurs en cuivre comprises entre 0,001 % et 0,50 %. Il comporte un cas particulier pour les alliages d'aluminium à teneur en silicium supérieures à 1 % : le silicium graphiteux qui peut contenir des traces de cuivre n'est pas éliminé par la mise en solution décrite dans le cas général.
