Le présent document définit une méthode alternative pour le classement visuel des bois sciés résineux et feuillus destinés à la fabrication de bois lamellé collé (BLC) et de bois massif reconstitué (BMR). Il s'applique aux bois dont la section est supérieure à 3 000 mm 2, dont une dimension > ou = 22 mm. Le présent document s'applique aux essences Douglas (Pseudotsuga menziesii Franco) et pins sylvestre, noir, laricio, et maritime (Pinus sylvestris, nigra, pinaster). Il ne s'applique pas aux bois importés.
