Le présent document et la NF EN 14800 doivent être appliqués de manière complémentaire. Il définit les spécifications relatives aux raccords d'extrémité et aux joints plats d'étanchéité montés sur les conduits métalliques onduleux afin de constituer un tuyau flexible métallique onduleux de sécurité pour le gaz (TFEM) au sens du paragraphe 3.2 de la NF EN 14800 utilisé pour le raccordement externe des appareils à usage domestique utilisant le gaz naturel et le gaz propane distribués par réseaux. Il s'applique aux TFEM de Type 1 uniquement, c'est-à-dire sans composant complémentaire limitant leur rayon de courbure au sens du paragraphe 4.1 de la NF EN 14800.
