Le présent document spécifie les dimensions et les caractéristiques des boulons à tête ronde et collet carré long, dits " Japy ", à filetage métrique ISO, de diamètre nominal M5 à M30 inclus, constitués de vis partiellement filetées, à tête ronde et collet carré long, de grade C, et d'écrous hexagonaux normaux (style 1) , de grades A et B, conformes à la NF EN ISO 4032. Il spécifie également les exigences pour les boulons galvanisés à chaud, et définit le marquage et la désignation. Ces boulons sont principalement utilisés dans le bâtiment. Les vis à tête bombée réduite et collet carré court fond l'objet de la norme ISO 8678.
