La présente norme décrit un mode opératoire de dosage du manganèse basé sur la mesure électrométrique de la réaction d'oxydo-réduction de Mn(II) en Mn(III). La méthode est applicable aux aciers non alliés ou alliés et aux fontes pour des teneurs en manganèse supérieures ou égales à 0,5 % (m/m).
