Le présent document s'applique aux barres rondes, aux fils machine de section ronde, et aux fils ayant un diamètre inférieur ou égal à 100 mm, en acier allié et non allié, destinés à des opérations de transformation à froid (frappe à froid) et d'extrusion à froid, sans faire subir ensuite de traitement thermique au produit final. Il définit les états de livraison, les formes de produits et les prescriptions applicables (voir Tableau 1) , et les valeurs liées aux compositions chimiques et aux caractéristiques des nuances spécifiées par ce document (voir Tableaux 2 à 4) . Le présent document doit être utilisé conjointement avec la partie 1 " Conditions techniques générales de livraison ".
