Le présent document spécifie des exigences de sécurité. Il est applicable aux machines de fabrication et de finition du papier. Il comprend des définitions et des exigences qui s'appliquent à toutes les machines de fabrication et de finition du papier mentionnées à l'Annexe A. Il est destiné à être utilisé conjointement avec la partie spécifique relative à la machine concernée énumérée à l'Annexe A. Les parties spécifiques peuvent contenir des exigences supplémentaires ou des dérogations à la NF EN 1034-1, auquel cas les stipulations spécifiques prévalent sur les spécifications de la NF EN 1034-1. Il traite des phénomènes dangereux énumérés dans l'Annexe B.
