Le présent document spécifie les exigences relatives aux produits en aciers galvanisés pour béton selon la norme NF EN 10080 et soumis à une transformation ultérieure et tous les autres composants fabriqués pour une utilisation dans l'armature du béton. Il ne s'applique pas aux produits treillis soudés ou treillis raidisseurs couverts par le projet de norme prEN 10348-1:2006 ni aux armatures de précontrainte galvanisées ou aux composants de ces armatures. Le présent document spécifie les matériaux employés (aciers et zinc) , les règles de désignation ainsi que les informations fournies avec la commande et l'appel d'offres. Il rappelle les règles attachées à la galvanisation et précise les caractéristiques de performance comme par exemple les caractéristiques mécaniques ou d'adhérence. Il spécifie également les règles d'échantillonnage et les méthodes d'essai.
