Le présent document fixe les exigences et les méthodes d'essai relatives à la résistance, la sécurité, l'endurance et le fonctionnement des coffres de serrures et becs de cane manoeuvrés mécaniquement et leurs gâches, utilisés sur des portes, portes-fenêtres et porte d'entrée de bâtiment. Il a été préparé pour que les serrures et gâches destinées à être utilisées sur des portes de compartimentation du feu/fumées situées sur des voies d'évacuation puissent être reconnues conformes à la Directive "Produits de la construction" (89/106/CE) et porter le marquage CE.
