Le présent document décrit une méthode de détermination de la hauteur du gazon naturel des surfaces sportives. La présente méthode n'est pas appropriée pour les surfaces ayant une couverture végétale de moins de 50 % (celle-ci étant mesurée, conformément à la N F EN 12231 ) ; en effet, du fait que la compression de l'herbe est susceptible d'être accentuée, il est possible que l'on obtienne des valeurs anormalement faibles et non représentatives.
