La partie 1 concerne les tapis de gymnastique, la partie 2 les tapis de saut et la partie 3 les tapis de judo. Les parties suivantes définissent des méthodes d'essai pour la détermination des caractéristiques d'amortissement au choc (partie 4), des caractéristiques antidérapantes de la base (partie 5), du coefficient de frottement en rotation (partie 6) et de la rigidité statique (partie 7).
