Le présent document, qui fixe les caractéristiques de fonctionnement des disconnecteurs BA à zone de pression réduite contrôlable, s'inscrit au sein d'un vaste programme de normalisation des dispositifs permettant d'éviter la pollution des réseaux d'alimentation en eau potable. Ces disconnecteurs sont plus spécialement utilisés pour protéger les systèmes d'arrosage ou d'irrigation, les réseaux ou dispositifs de lutte contre l'incendie, les dispositifs de chauffage collectif ces applications n'étant toutefois pas exhaustives.
