Le présent document décrit les exigences de sécurité s'appliquant à la fabrication, à l'efficacité, à la taille et au marquage des aides à la flottabilité pour l'apprentissage de la natation. Il traite des dispositifs que l'utilisateur tient dans la main, place sous son corps ou tient entre les jambes (type C = dispositifs pour un utilisateur actif) et qui sont destinés à améliorer certains aspects du mouvement de natation. Ils peuvent également être utilisés par des adultes débutants ou des utilisateurs plus avancés pour des stades ultérieurs du processus d'apprentissage de la natation.
