L''électricité est produite par un procédé permettant la valorisation d''une énergie thermique. Il s''applique aux appareils de micro-cogénération commercialisés comme une seule unité ou comme un produit combiné entièrement spécifié par le fabricant, qui ont : un débit calorifique de gaz inférieur ou égal à 70 kW une puissance électrique inférieure ou égale à 50 kW et une capacité de stockage en eau chaude inférieure ou égale à 500 l.
