Le présent document décrit un essai de gonflement accéléré pour sol traité à la chaux et/ou au liant hydraulique. La prise hydraulique d'une éprouvette d'un mélange traité est accélérée en employant des conditions de conservation d'abord dans une atmosphère saturée, puis en immersion dans de l'eau à 40 °C. Le gonflement est déterminé par le changement dans le temps du volume apparent de l'éprouvette.
