Le présent document couvre les exigences générales concernant les équipements auxiliaires : sécurité, construction et fonctionnement des équipements auxiliaires pour brûleurs et appareils utilisant des combustibles gazeux ou liquides ainsi que de leurs essais. Concernant les méthodes de classification et d'évaluation des nouveaux équipements et fonctions de commande sont données dans la norme NF EN 14459:2007. Par ailleurs, la norme NF EN 126 spécifie des équipements multifonctionnels combinant deux commandes et fonctions de commande d'application ou plus, dont l'une est une fonction de commande mécanique. Enfin, les exigences relatives aux équipements auxiliaires et aux fonctions de commande d'application sont fournies dans la norme particulière applicable à l'équipement.
