La méthode décrite permet de contrôler que les esters méthyliques d'acide gras, éventuellement présents dans les gazoles pour moteurs (routier et pêche) et le fuel domestique, ont bien pour origine l'huile de colza. Elle consiste en un préfractionnement par chromatographie liquide suivi par une analyse par chromatographie gazeuse.
