Le présent document fait partie d'une série de quatre normes destinées à fixer les caractéristiques des climatiseurs, des groupes refroidisseurs de liquide, des refroidisseurs industriels et des pompes à chaleur avec compresseur entraîné par moteur électrique utilisés en mode chauffage et/ou en mode réfrigération. Il décrit les méthodes d'essai relatives à l'évaluation et à la détermination des caractéristiques de performance de ces appareils. Il est destiné à venir en appui des exigences essentielles du Règlement de la Commission n° 206/2012 (exigences d'écoconception applicables aux climatiseurs et aux ventilateurs de confort) et du Règlement délégué de la Commission n° 626/2011 (indication, par voie d'étiquetage, de la consommation d'énergie des climatiseurs) .
