Ils sont conçus pour détecter des gaz halogénés de types CFC, HCFC, HFC, PFC et leur sensibilité est vérifiée à l'aide d'une fuite calibrée. Il précise les exigences communes à tous les types de détecteur, détecteurs locali- sateurs et contrôleurs d'ambiance. Il détermine les exigences particulières à chacun de ces types, ainsi que leurs caractéristiques propres. Il décrit aussi les trois appareillages qui servent à la réalisation des essais de perfor- mances pour tous les types de détecteurs.
