Le présent document liste et définit les différents paramètres à prendre en compte dans la conception de systèmes de ventilation mécanique d'air fourni et rejeté, de conditionnement d'air et de climatisation pour les bâtiments non résidentiels sujets à occupation humaine, à l'exception des applications telles que les processus industriels. Il définit la classification correspondante. La performance des systèmes de ventilation pour les bâtiments résidentiels est couverte par la NF EN 15665 et le FD CEN/TR 14788. Le présent document fait partie d'une série de normes élaborées en application de la Directive Performance énergétique des bâtiments révisée (DPEB) (Directive 2010/31/UE) . Toutes les explications permettant d'assurer sa compréhension, utilisation et adaptation correcte sont données dans le FD CEN/TR 16798-4.
