Avant cet amendement la norme ne considérait, pour des brûleurs de puissance supérieure à 4,2 kW, que les appareils à brûleur unique. Cet amendement permet de généraliser les exigences relatives à l'utilisation rationnelle de l'énergie aux appareils qui auraient plusieurs brûleurs, même si l'un d'eux a une puissance supérieure à 4,2 kW.
