Le présent document (série des télécommunications) a été produit par le Comité Technique "Transmission et Multiplexage" TM de l'ETSI. Ce document est destiné à couvrir les dispositions de la Directive R&TTE au regard du paragraphe 3, article 2, qui déclare que "les équipements hertziens sont construits de telle sorte qu'ils utilisent efficacement le spectre attribué aux communications radio terrestres ou spatiales ainsi que les ressources orbitales pour éviter les interférences dommageables". Il est également applicable aux exigences essentielles des équipements (incluant les équipements avec des antennes intégrales) utilisés dans les systèmes radio numérique fixe multipoint (DFRS).
