Le présent document s'applique à tous les dispositifs de communication sans fil destinés à être utilisés avec la partie rayonnante de l'équipement étant située très près du corps humain (c'est-à-dire à moins de 200 mm) , y compris les dispositifs mis en fonctionnement devant le visage. La gamme de fréquences couverte est comprise entre 30 MHz et 6 GHz. L'objectif du présent document est de démontrer la conformité d'un tel équipement aux restrictions de base liées à l'exposition humaine aux champs électromagnétiques radiofréquence. Pour les dispositifs utilisés à proximité de l'oreille, la NF EN 50360 doit être utilisée. Les critères d'exclusion en basse puissance sont spécifiés par la NF EN 62479. Le présent document entre dans le champ d'application de la Directive RTTE n° 1999/5/CE du 09/03/1999.
