Le présent document traite de la sécurité des plaques à griller électriques à usage collectif et qui ne sont pas destinés aux usages domestiques, dont la tension assignée n'est pas supérieure à 250 V pour les appareils monophasés raccordés entre phase et neutre et à 480 V pour les autres appareils. Ce document entre dans le champ d'application de la Directive Basse Tension n° 73/23/CEE du 19/02/1973 modifiée par 93/68/CEE du 22/07/1993.
