Le présent document traite de la sécurité des appareils de nettoyage à haute pression à usage domestique, industriel et commercial qui ont une pression comprise entre 2,5 MPa et 25 MPa et dont la puissance de la pompe de haute pression ne dépasse pas 10 kW, leur tension assignée n'étant pas supérieure à 250 V pour les appareils monophasés et 480 V pour les autres appareils. Ce document entre dans le champ d'application de la Directive Basse Tension n° 73/23/CEE du 19/02/1973 modifiée par 93/68/CEE du 22/07/1993.
