Le présent document donne les exigences relatives aux gaines fabriquées à partir de fils de téréphtalate de polyéthylène, légèrement imprégnées de résine pour leur donner une stabilité mécanique. La gaine peut être utilisée jusqu'à des températures de 130 °C. Elles sont normalement disponibles pour des diamètres intérieurs compris entre 1 mm et 12 mm et sont normalement fournies dans les coloris suivants naturel, bleu, rouge, jaune, noir, vert et brun.
