Ce document traite de la sécurité des couvertures, coussins et autres appareils souples électriques destinés à chauffer un lit ou le corps humain, pour usages domestiques et analogues et dont la tension assignée n'est pas supérieure à 250 V. Elle s'applique également aux unités de commande fournies avec les appareils. Ce document entre dans le champ d'application de la Directive Basse Tension n° 73/23/EEC du 19/02/73 modifiée par 93/68/CEE du 22/07/93. Il peut être utilisé dans le cadre de l'attribution du droit d'usage de la Marque de conformité aux normes.
