Le présent document s'applique aux systèmes de canalisations préfabriquées (SCP) et à leurs accessoires destinés à transporter et à distribuer la puissance électrique dans les bâtiments recevant du public ou à usage résidentiel, commercial, agricole ou industriel. Il s'applique également aux systèmes de canalisations préfabriquées qui ont été développés pour incorporer de la communication et/ou des systèmes de contrôle ou qui sont destinés à alimenter des luminaires par l'intermédiaire d'éléments de dérivation; mais il ne s'applique pas aux systèmes d'alimentation par rails conformes à la IEC 60570. Ce document entre dans le champ d'application de la Directive Basse Tension n° 73/23/EEC du 19/02/73 modifiée par 93/68/CEE du 22/07/93.
