Le présent document est applicable aux petites bobines d'inductance fixes ou mobiles, monophasées ou polyphasées, généralement à refroidissement par air, ayant une tension primaire assignée n'excédant pas 1 000 V en courant alternatif ou en courant continu, une fréquence assignée n'excédant pas 1 MHz et une puissance assignée n'excédant pas : - 2 kVAR en courant alternatif (2 kW en courant continu) pour les bobines d'inductance monophasées ; - 10 kVAR en courant alternatif (10 kW en courant continu) pour les bobines d'inductance polyphasées. Ce document est applicable aux petites bobines d'inductance sans limitation de la puissance assignée ; toutefois de telles petites bobines d'inductance sont considérées comme des bobines d'inductance spéciales et sont soumises à un agrément entre l'acheteur et le fournisseur. Ce document entre dans le champ d'application de la Directive Basse Tension n° 73/23/EEC du 19/02/73 modifiée par 93/68/CEE du 22/07/93.
