Le présent document spécifie les exigences fonctionnelles de quatre types et deux tailles de buts de football (voir Article 3) et les exigences de sécurité correspondantes (voir Article 4). Il est applicable aux buts de football pour l'entraînement et la compétition dans les installations de plein air et d'intérieur. Il n'entre pas dans le cadre d'une Directive UE mais les dispositions appliquées pour les exigences de sécurité à respecter permettent d'appliquer le décret n° 2007-1133 du 24 juillet 2007 ou les articles R322-21 et R322-24 du Code du Sport en particulier.
