Gases and gas mixtures - Determination of fire potential and oxidizing ability for the selection of cylinder valve outlets
ISO 10156:2010 specifies methods for determining whether or not a gas or gas mixture is flammable in air and whether a gas or gas mixture is more or less oxidizing than air under atmospheric conditions.It is intended to be used for the classification of gases and gas mixtures including the selection of gas cylinder valve outlets.It does not cover the safe preparation of these mixtures under pressure and at temperatures other than ambient.

La présente partie de l'ISO 10156 spécifie un essai et une méthode de calcul à utiliser pour déterminer si un gaz (ou mélange de gaz) est ou non plus oxydant que l'air. La présente Norme concerne uniquement les gaz et mélanges de gaz toxiques et corrosifs (pour les gaz et mélanges de gaz non toxiques, voir l'ISO 10156-1).
Le présent document décrit des méthodes d'essai et de calcul permettant de déterminer, d'une part le potentiel d'inflammabilité, d'autre part le potentiel d'oxydation des gaz et mélanges de gaz. Il complète ainsi la norme NF E 29-650 qui définit les critères de choix des raccords de sortie de robinets de bouteilles à gaz de capacité en eau inférieure ou égale à 150 litres pour gaz comprimés, liquéfiés ou dissous.
