La présente norme est largement inspirée de la norme ASTM G 53-84. Elle décrit un essai permettant d'évaluer la tenue de systèmes de peintures à une agression de rayons ultra-violets et de l'eau de condensation. Cette méthode a son origine dans le Coil Coating et est surtout utilisée dans le domaine des peintures industrielles et automobiles. Aucune relation directe ne peut exister entre cette norme et la norme NF T 30-049, les répartitions spectrales du rayonnement ultra-violet étant différentes.

ISO 11507:2007 specifies exposure conditions for paint coatings exposed to artificial weathering in apparatus including fluorescent UV lamps and condensation or water spray. The effects of weathering are evaluated separately by comparative testing of chosen parameters.
