La présente norme prescrit deux méthodes alternatives de détermination des propriétés de sorption hygroscopique des matériaux et produits poreux utilisés dans le bâtiment : a) méthode utilisant des dessiccateurs et des coupelles de pesée (méthode du dessiccateur) ; b) méthode utilisant une chambre climatique (méthode de la chambre climatique). La méthode du dessiccateur est la méthode de référence. La présente norme ne spécifie pas la méthode d'échantillonnage. Les méthodes décrites dans la présente norme peuvent être utilisées pour déterminer la teneur en humidité d'un échantillon en équilibre avec un air à température et humidité données.
